it's like im having a movie marathon. catching up with lost time.. hahas.
finished watching pirates of the carribean: at worlds end (finally!), mr magnorium's wonderful emporium and juno. am left with charlie wilson's war and the nanny diaries.
i think that juno's damn cool. lol.
i liked the way the dad dispenses advice and even though the stepmom seems to dislike juno, they still love each other alot. especially the part where the stepmom verbally abuse the 'ultrasound technician'. lols.
everything about the language and mannerisms' very real. the only part that seems unreal's the way juno goes through pregnancy while still schooling. they dont show people pointing and staring blatantly everytime- but in a more subtle way like how they parted for her when she walks through the crowd, when she eats and when she flared up at bleeker (i think that name's pretty cute btw) about how he's not the one showing evidence of having had sex or something like that..
the parents were damn cool.. like. what's done is done and all they can do now is to support their daughter no matter what.. maybe it's cause my parents are more conservative? (at least i think they are) and i cant picture them reacting the way juno's parents did; like damn cool- no big shouting match about her being pregnant and all..
though it would be interesting to know how my parents would handle such occasions, i dont think that this is something i want to test waters. lol. wth. who on earth would want to invite trouble to their lifes??! -.- the hell.
nurgh.
am so glad i finally got to watch the above 3movies cause there's so much hype about it. and i just realised that all 3movies belong to different genres, though the last 2movies has got quite alot of motivational talk going on (think moral ed in primary school).. and i dont care if people think that the show mr magnorium's wonderful emporium's a show for kids- cause i think it's really really interesting and magical. in the sense that the way mr magnorium showed maloney to believe in herself's pretty interesting. letting her discover what she's capable of by herself. and in the end when the accountant finally believe that it's a magical toy shop, it feels even more uplifting. like there's still some magic left for adults. and that adults dont have to make sense all the time and there's nothing wrong in having fun in life and things like that (when i was typing that, i was thinking about those party animals who party all day and night- i mean, yeah, they are having fun in life as well like how maloney enjoys herself in the emporium and all.. but somehow there's a difference.. i dont know how to put it. and i doubt that im making much sense, so i shall just stop here).
laadidum.
when is he going to come over..?
