heheh =] get well soon fats.
guess what??
i was given a virtual tour of (how boring) the RSAF open house- sounds cool right?
hahas.
it's just photos of the open house, commentary from the pig- on how everything is the same (got mock scramble; every year the same one. people running to the air craft.. suddenly got people pop up from the ground- dont know doing what.. etc) and how only mad people would go there cause you cant go up to the tower to look, and the weather's bloody hot.
apparently there's like 2 kinds of 'activities'- in the first year, it'll be exhibit of air crafts and in the second year, people will go there to cycle.
okae darling- going all the way there to cycle?? that is really damn bo liao. who thought of this idea anyway??
hehh.
anyhow. it's my brother's birthday today~
we went to shokudo at raffles city. initial suggestion was to eat at canele. but cause it's pretty expensive (and i dont think my dad enjoys western food that much) and cause i have yet to try shokudo, we decided to try it (somehow my brother ask me to decide where to eat.. wth)
went there pretty early (~4pm) cause i heard that the crowd's crazy during dinner time. so we had the luxury of enjoying our meal in relative peace and quiet. i like the prints that decorated the walls (made me think about doing such a thing for my planner- yeah. ive yet to start on it) and how everything look so clean and modern, yet having the old school feeling (they werent using old school kinda equipments.. but somehow, it just felt that way). seats were comfy, lighting was comfortably dim. food was reasonably price and tasted slightly better than average.
we ordered 14items, total bill was around 80bucks? hmm.. the crepe with banana and chocolate was pretty nice, though i think that there shouldve been a bigger portion of bananas served. and i think they made it into a compote? cause it sure as hell isnt freshly cut and it was in like one mess of banana with gravy like thing.. (lol. if that wilson's reading this, i believe she'll kneel over and die- 'these are not terms a culinary student should be using..!' yeah. whatever)
rahh.
i wouldnt mind going back there to eat- but with friends. the entire meal with my family feels too rushed. like i didnt have time to eat slowly and enjoy the feast. hahas!
it's a really nice place to chill with friends
do you dream of an expensive candlelight dinner with your special one? one where a bouquet of flowers would be presented, one where you have to dress up for?
i dont. but i think it'll be cool.
